Bernies Business 

Bernie O`Neill  was for 5 years Cabinet member for Business development in FODDC. His efforts supporting local business during the Covid crisis earned him a National Councillor nomination.

I am extremely concerned by the way the Green Party are operating, with a minority of members controlling the FODDC without much reference at all to the remaining members. 

Not only are we being kept in the dark but they are also attempting to manipulate things in a way that they have no right to. Pine End at Lydney docks is crying out for major development to enhance what has already been successfully achieved there. We have a local business wishing to invest huge sums of money to develop and improve the area with a brand new Severn and Wye smokey, which is already very successful at Chaxhill.However, a senior Green Cabinet member is attempting to influence the 'non-political' Planning committee with concerns about the well being of the eels and the fish....all of which is very legal and controlled by DEFRA. This is not allowed and we have challenged it.

This project would have provided over 240 jobs and significantly improved the area.
